Directorate General of Lebanese Interior Ministry sets deadline dates for submitting the electoral permissions and for withdrawing the nominations:

A-The period for submitting the permissions ends at the hour 24 of Friday on 11/8/2000 for both Mount Lebanon and North Districts.

B-The period for withdrawing the nominations ends at the hour 24 of Wednesday on 16/8/2000 for the above mentioned Districts.

MP Bahaeddine Itani said, during his visit to Lebanese Republic Mufti Cheikh Mohammad Rachid Kabbani, "We consider that the elections being main station for the political career in Lebanon, and we are working on the National unity".
