Delegates
from Akkar, Dennieh, and Bcharrey had supported MP Issam
Fares. He said, “By the Lebanese purity and nobility we
would develop our patriotic unity and build the State we
wish to be.” MP Fares’ residence in Baino was crowded
with popular delegates coming from various Northern
villages, supporting him and his coalition list.
Samir
Hamid Franjieh said, “There are pressures on us”, after
his visit to Maronite Cardinal Sfeir, who got from him news
about the prevailing atmosphere in North Second District.
Submitting

Maronite Fawzi Asmar (Jezzine).
MP
Walid Joumblatt urged for coexistence with Chritstians,
warning of unknown hands, which intervene to damage such
coexistence, and said, “There is a war against us from all
the Systems.”
Maronite
MP Ghassan Achkar considered, in a televised speech that Al
Taef is a mean to get out of the war, and to open windows on
the future. But the sects are trying to close these windows.
We have to get out of this situation so as to guarantee the
Liberty, Democracy, and man’s dignity in Lebanon.
Minister
Michel Murr answered all the attempts to divide the
Armenians, calling for challenging these attempts by going
to the ballot boxes and vote. He expr5essed that during a
festival by the front of Armenian Accord in Borj Hammoud,
attended by MP’s: Sebouh Hovnanian, Ghassan Achkar, Chaker
Abou Sulaiman, Antoine Haddad, and Emile Emile Lahhoud,
together with leading figures of the area.
