Answering
on Minister Sulaiman Franjieh’s speech, during a crowdy
festival in Bab Tibbaneh, President Omar Karami calls for
opening the file of the stolen money, by Mikati. MP Nayla
Mouawwad says, “Everybody knows who created the sectarian
climate in Miryatta”.
President
Nabih Berri says, “We will ruin very dividing and
separating project. Removing the traces of the Occupation
needs Arab initiatives.”
Keserwan-Jbeil
views, on the eve of the elections, less politics and
services… and money. Tomorrow voters of 150 villages and
towns of Keserwan, Ftouh, and Jbeil, to elect eight members,
seven of who are Maronites, and on Chiite, out of 49
candidates and four lists.
Four
competing lists appear according to their consecutive
stages, as if they had the success opportunities like their
numbers: the first, List of Dignity and Renewal of List of
Ephrem-Bonn, the second, List of Popular Decision or list of
Dr. Khalil, and the fourth, List of Liberty, or list of
Sfeir-Chehab.
MP
Rchaid Khazen calls for canceling or postponing the
elections, because these elections are forfeited and
accompanied by huge amount of money for buying consciences,
and they resemble those of 1947,and calling also for
investigating with those who stand behind them.
Metn
battle: in Borj Hammoud the enthusiasm is absent, and the
surprises are the dominating.
MP
Walid Joumblatt says that the pressure of Systems and
forfeiting would lead to a big political coup d’Etat. And,
cancellation by force might change the country to a
semi-military regime and to a dark tunnel.
Prime
Minister Dr. Salim Hoss considered that Beirut is facing a
hard odd experience, and witnesses the most savage and
dirtiest electoral battle in its life, where two weapons are
used: money and publicity. He said, “They are assailing an
attack on me so as to take my put”. President Hoss’
visit to Tripoli would be better if it included Issam Fares’
area.
MP
Jamil Chammas says, “We are committed to the Oath’s
Speech”. He presented his political program calling to
complete the liberation, strengthening the relations with
the sister Arab countries, working on issuing a new
electoral law, which accommodates with the democratic
demands.
The
war of lists in Baalbeck-Hermel: the strong candidates ask
for the assistance of those individuals so as to assure
success. The ones acquiring the electoral cards reached to
95 thousand out of 210thousand voters, i.e. by 45%. The
street feels irrelevant for alkl the candidates and lists,
so as to get rid of the packaged lists imposed by political
circumstances.
The
veiled Baalbecki is nominated: Nisrine Jamil Abdul Sater,
daughter of Dentist, who immigrated to Cote D’Ivoire then
came back. Though veiled but is not fanatic.
Festivals
are made for the list of “Popular Will” by its
supporters in Mreijat, Koussaya, etc. (in Middle Bekaa).
