Incidents:

The
most significant event that locally occupied the political
environments is simplified by the announcement that the
International Envoy Terje Roed-Larsen had conveyed. It
speaks of the removal of most of the Israeli violations,
and the way is now opened for the deployment of the
International Troops, along with the border fence, and in
the liberated areas, from which Israel had recently
withdrawn. Larsen said yesterday, after meeting President
of the Republic and Prime Minister, Emile Lahhoud and
Salim Hoss, that he reported the Lebanese side of the
Israeli official pledge to UN to rapidly correct all the
violations, and that most of them were corrected. He
indicated to the deployment of the International Troops as
it is a question of time. While the Lebanese side had
insisted on seeing that the violations had not been
completely removed, and the Israeli withdrawal is not
fully achieved, wondering of the wisdom deduced out of
determining the end of this month to finalize removing
these violations, saying that it will not take for Israel
more than two hours to do so, Larsen announced that the
Lebanese and International teams are going to check, on
Monday, the day after tomorrow, that everything is OK, and
will work together to correct or hurry in correcting the
remaining few violations.
-
On
the other hand, these environments followed-up the
developments of holding the conference of Granting
Countries. Governmental sources mentioned yesterday, that
Lebanon starts today to address formal invitations to the
Granting Countries to meet, on Ambassadors' level, in
Beirut on the 27 th of this July, these invitations will
be accomplished on Monday, the day after tomorrow. These
sources said, according to political environments, that
the meeting will present a Lebanese emergency plan
including the demand for urgent and instant aids, in
addition to the preparation of next meeting in the coming
October, which will study the Lebanese constructing and
building plan.
-
Other
files occupied the attentions, and were distributed on the
concerns of living, and elections. On the living concern,
the medias watch the declination reached, after the late
workers' movement, and the hard living situation including
the panic that different establishments undergo especially
the Cooperatives. Whereas the electoral concern seems to
be the priority of people, as long as the date for the
elections is approaching, accompanied with increase in
competition, pictures and current preparations to
establish lists in more than an electoral constituency.

The
Future newspaper followed up the developments of the
electoral divergences on the 5 Tripoli's Sunni seats,
saying that this divides Tripoli, which is considered as a
basic center of weight in the North Second District which
includes: Tripoli, Koura, Zghorta, Batroun, and Menieh.
This newspaper continued that this District lives early
hot electoral battle climate, and it is not easy to
predict its results, because of the distribution of power
between the competitors, the appearance of new aspects on
the electoral arena for the first time in this city, and
the penetrations of powers who were previously allied. The
Future newspaper drew the picture of the competing
political powers in Tripoli undergoing many interior
problems. This newspaper also, follow-up the electoral
situation in Nabatieh District, saying that it lacks the
electoral atmospheres, and noticed the absence of
enthusiasm, pictures, festivals, keys, and car
processions, as this district lives a cold reaction
against elections unlike previous elections.
