• One main file occupied the official, popular, and political media, today, is the file of the verification of Israeli withdrawal from the South in compliance with Resolution 425. The investigation operation on the Lebanese border side was stopped yesterday by the request of Lebanon itself, due to technical reasons.

• Lebanese Militants inquired of many points situated in the border demarcation question, which evoked having a UN International Significant Militant, who will arrive to Lebanon, today, to answer the Lebanese inquiries. It is expected to have the verification operation completed within 48 hours, and to handle the UN General Secretary a final report, who, in turn, will forward it to the Security Council, in order to determine a decision for the deployment of the International Forces till the borders.

• The developments concerning the South file viewed dramatic changes in stances. It was announced that the Cabinet will meet, exceptionally, next Monday, to take the decision of sending a force consisting of both the Lebanese Army, and the Interior Security Forces, to the liberated regions, under the order of the Ministry of Interior, for security keeping.

• An American stance, through the American Ambassador David Sutterfield, who praised the Lebanese efforts to dominate the State sovereignty in the South, escorted the new Lebanese stance. He also denoted that Lebanon will have a prosperous future. All that was accompanied by a visit to the Region, and to Lebanon, of the French Foreign Minister Hubert Vidrine, who reaches tomorrow, with a positive French stance relating to the developments, and the readiness of sharing in the International troops in the South.

• Ad-diyar tied sending the Army to the South with the meeting held in Cairo between Albright and Sharaa, which led, according to the newspaper, to reach an agreement in that respect.

• Al-liwaa quoted from Arab diplomatic sources that Cairo meeting paced way for a group of field procedures in the South, to regain the government's sovereignty over the liberated regions.

• An-nahar, in turn, denoted to an American-Syrian understanding imaged in the meeting between the two Foreign Ministers of both countries, to keep calmness in the South. The newspaper considered that the declaration of the Secretary of Fateh-Intifadah "Abou Mousa" excluding any Palestinian military operation against Israe, dashing from the Lebanese Southern territories, was a strong sign, indicating to the performance of Sharaa-Albright understanding.

• The Middle East newspaper said that there occurred a sudden change on the American attitude towards the situation in the South. It was reflected by an understanding to the Lebanese lingering attitude towards the deployment of its Army in the liberated districts waiting for the accomplishment of the UN verification of the complete Israeli withdrawal.

• Al-hayat showed the Israeli resentment from the UN for having insisted on dividing Al Ghajar village.

• Ac-chark denoted to an electoral festival on the occasion of the liberation which will take place in Antelias, east of Beirut. Spiritual and Parties' personalities are going to share in this festival.

• Al-Bayrak indicated on its pages, to the occurrence of different important factors and developments that help in uncovering big heads that are involved in the Corruption in Lebanon. Preparing such special files is taking place in order to launch a battle against the corrupters.

• Future newspaper published an investigation regarding the polarization that the National Mass Party undergoes concerning the elections. This newspaper said that the Mass is getting ready to return, on the 40- day memorial of the deceased Eddeh. Meanwhile, the new Aamid is working on arranging the house inward situations. The Newspaper wondered on the possibility of the Mass to regain its strength as for the re-drawing of its electoral political map back to its position, after the totter that it faced. The Future newspaper, also, quoted a news saying that Tripoli voters are inquiring daily about the correction of the 'Scratching lists' related to the elections, due to the occurrence of big mistakes.
